Sherry Byrd comes to Sean Anthony Salons
Artist Reception – Saturday, August 17, 7-9 PM
Sherry Byrd calls her style “Joyful Color.” Working primarily in acrylics on canvas, Sherry employs bright colors which elicit comments from “joyous expressions of love,” “exhilarating,” “stunning,” to “spectacular.” Retired after a forty-five year career in higher education at universities in Tennessee, Arkansas, and Texas, Sherry studied, by invitation, under award-winning painter and Director of Painting Art at Houston Baptist University, Michael Collins. Sherry curates the Fra Angelico Gallery at Palmer Memorial Episcopal Church in Houston, and her work as been featured in religious publications in the US and in Canada.
Sherry will have a solo exhibition at Sean Anthony Salons, 3300 Chimney Rock, August 12 – September 9.
